The robe sleeves were inspired by the traditional Korean Dopo 도포, made with translucent muslin.
The collar that threads from the back to the front made from calico was influenced by the tomoeri 共衿 on traditional Kimono.
Adjustable Cotton Shibari ropes with boxing wrap accent details were inspired by the rope fastenings on Samurai armour acts as the core that holds the robe together; an alluring feature for the nape of the neck and back, finished with handmade tassels. The robe can be worn in reverse for the rope details to be at the front on the chest!
The piece is one size and can be resized via the adjustable rope knots.
