Metallic gold small hat with fan and tassel decoration

This sophisticated fascinator has base of shiny gold stretch fabric stitched over a round button base, finished with a fan decoration and tassel. The fan is made from pleated jinsin, a woven straw fabric - it is black shot through with a gold thread. The traditional fan tassel hangs over the side of the hat to add movement and frame the eyes. 

This hat is entirely handmade from traditional millinery materials and is completely unique. It's easy to wear but still a statement - perfect to boost a plain tailored jacket or dress for a wedding or formal event, or to match a gold art deco dress or cape. The underside is finished with traditional petersham ribbon and lined with black satin.

The hat base is approx 17x16cm in diameter and sits just under 3cm high (excluding fan), and the tassel hangs down by approx 6cm. It is held on with a black hat elastic which sits comfortably under hair at the nape of the neck.
