Purple feather wing fascinator

This is a gorgeous rich purple feather fascinator or mini cocktail hat, handmade made from a lightweight base of sinamay (a millinery straw). The base material is shaped, edged with wire for strength, backed with felt and bound with velvet ribbon, before the feathers are arranged in a sweeping wing shape. It would look amazing as a pop of colour with a black velvet top, or with other jewel colours like cobalt, fucshia and emerald green.

This piece is designed to be worn on the wearer's left. It is attached with black hat elastic that sits firmly at the nape of the neck under the hair. It is approx 23cm long and 12cm wide.
