DESCRIPTION
This totally fabulous, show-stopping black halo headpiece is trimmed with glittery gold felt swooping swallows with tiny bead eyes, and two gold flowers. The base is parasisal, a type of woven straw, shaped by hand and wired into a band, with gold piping on the top edge. Black crin, which has a see-through, mesh-like quality, is then stitched on top to form the halo. Although a dramatic piece, the crin gives it a delicate quality and it's very lightweight to wear. The wired base can be gently shaped to give a comfortable fit, and it has elastic at the back which can be hidden under hair. The band part is 43cm from tip to tip, so sits well down behind the ears. The halo is 7cm high at the top, excluding swallows.
