Commissions are available and appreciated. All customised sculptures are handmade by one person, so the time from order to shipping is 2-4 wks.

Hello all! I’m Sanna Pöyhönen, the ceramic artist behind the Bondage Bunny series. I’m inspired by spicy storytelling, fairytales, challenging taboos - and most of all by PEOPLE with all our peculiar, weird and sometimes crazy habits. Follow the bunnies in Instagram @bondagebunnyamsterdam
I started the bunny project on Spring 2023 after seeing a furlesque performance by Cat Mortem. I love the combination of cute and kinky, and I wanted to create a little porcelain bunny in Beatrix Potter style that’s also very HOT 🔥
The first bunnies were inspired by old school pin-up models and especially Bettie Page who I totally adore. Because of friends’ request I started to make also boy bunnies, and soon enough customised versions based on any real people or fantasies.
The first gallery exhibition was in June 2023 in PLAY Room in the Netherlands, and later that year bunnies charmed in the Street Love expo by Amsterdam Street Art and in the Here & Now exhibition in Vrij Paleis.
Now there’s a selection of pussycats and bunnies on display in galleries in Amsterdam, and in Helsinki. During the last year the bunnies have also visited in Amsterdam SmutSlam, De Dystere Markt (a market for dark art and curiosities), and were part of a unique shibari show '9 Love Letters' by Maria Oiva and Anna Bohm.
This project has led me to some amazing people who openly act in and share from their sexual truth - despite of the public pressure, censorship or discrimination. It has been such an inspiration for me! Thank you for being brave 🙏
The project has also inspired other creatives to collaborate with me. Anna Gaweçka is the photographer behind the beautiful light paintings in this profile, Juno Sibeijn has created the bunny logo, Krijger Vormgave makes prints, stands and miniature shibari swings. I also just received an amazing bunny drawing by Lean Frizzera all the way from Argentina! 😍
