A true modern heirloom designed to hold your most precious talismans. “The Relic” chainmaille purse takes inspiration from bags attached to chatelaines popular at the turn of the century and medieval-inspired designs adored by the Pre-Raphaelites. This purse is large enough for a day or an evening out and will hold all necessities with elegance.
Purse closes with a stainless steel drawstring cord adorned with stainless steel beads and is strong enough to hold several items. Purse measures approximately 8 inches tall (including tip) by 4.25 inches wide with a removable long chainmaille strap. Default purse strap length is ~43.5 inches, but can be customized for the individual wearer.
Features:
Quality: Handwoven in NY, NY from 100% stainless steel rings and 100% stainless steel chain/findings. The finished purse is tumbled and polished for a silky-smooth finish. Stainless steel will not rust, break or “green”: allow the steel to acquire a beautiful “antique” patina over time, or periodically hand-wash with dish detergent to restore a bright shine.
Comfort: Recycled leather band allows the purse to rest comfortably on the shoulder (vegan option available). Leather band can be removed.
Elegant practicality: Fits an IPhone or Android, small/medium wallet, keys and 2-3 small personal items. Stainless steel will hold personal effects without distorting/bending.
Several Looks in 1: Long purse strap is removable to clip the purse to a belt or carry the pouch by itself. Clip-on tassel can be removed for 2 looks in 1: subtle or dramatic. Optional upgrade to include a second, shorter purse strap for a “handbag” or to hang on a belt.
